Being a major player
- Actively participate in active supervisory rounds and activities as outlined in the management system
- Be a key player in changing the management culture
- Support each employee in understanding his or her objectives, detecting and resolving discrepancies and recognizing good work
- Organize and plan work and material resources to achieve production objectives
- Organize workstations according to production and each change
- Encourage employees to identify ideas for improvement in their area in terms of health and safety, productivity, quality, manufacturing and processing, work methods
- Ensure the follow-up of the quality of the products
- Apply and enforce the collective agreement in force
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and rules
- Evaluate the learning and performance of employees on probation or in training
- Produce employee time sheets and required production reports
- Examine daily the state of the equipment to ensure the safety of the employees, the cleanliness of the premises and the follow-up of the training of each employee
- Perform all other related duties
Our dream candidate
- D.E.C. in textile technology or manufacturing production, or 3-5 years of experience in a related field, in a manufacturing and unionized environment
- Good command of Microsoft Office software
- Leadership, dynamism, versatility and organizational skills
- Good technical skills
- Good communication skills
- Interest in working in a continuous improvement environment
- Demonstrated ability to successfully engage employees
